Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21 at Bible Missionary Church for J.L."Sonny" Atkinson, 68, who died at his residence at 11: 15 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 1998. Reverend Huben Terry will officiate for the services: Burial will be held in Ebenezer Cemetery. Survivors indude his wife,Norma Spell Atkinson of Crowley;three sons, Chris Atkinson of Crowley, Randall Atkinson of Carrollton, Texas, and David Atkinson of Crowley; one daughter,Delene Atkinson Seward of Shreveport; one brother, Jackie Atkinson of Mandeville; five sisters, June Petry, Nancy Matte,Judy Matte and Beth Hanks, all of Crowley and Velva Folds of Winnsboro; and 13 grandchildren.
