Mrs. Powell died Jan. 6. She was born April 2, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kan. to the late Cletis and Gladys Hunt.
She was manager of the S&H Green Stamps in Palestine for five years and also worked at Drug-Sav for several years.
Survivors include daughters, Dana Parrish and Lisa Ann Wilson, both of Palestine, Kristie Renee Trezise of Jacksonville; son Jay Gordon Powell of Palestine; sisters, Cleta Ellington and Connie Pohlman both of Kansas; brother, Ronald Hunt of Kansas; special friend, Jean Owens of Palestine; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are George Trezise, Johnny Russell, Richard Farris, Rick Farris, Gordon Powell, Jimmy Batchelor, Gene Russell and Shawn Parrish.
