Andrew “Andy” Anthony 101,of Texarkana, Texas died Sunday March 28,2004 in a local nursing home. Mr. Anthony was born September 10,1902 in Bryans Mill, Texas. He was a Superintendent for Gifford Hill, a volunteer at Wadley Regional Medical Center, an information officer at Bi-State Justice Center and a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. He was preceaded in death by his wife,Ethel Anthony; one son, Edward Anthony; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Anthony; and one great-granddaughter, Carolyn Owens. Survivors include two grandsons, George Anthony and Edward Anthony; one granddaughter, Cathy Freeman; and six great-grandchildren, Andy, Brad, Shannon, Jennifer, Katie, and Hailey. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home, Downtown Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
