Albert is buried near his half brother Charles. Both met early deaths. His parent Otto J. Kannengiesser and Martha Hope Fairbrother Kannengiesser married following the death of their first spouses who were siblings, Jane and John Lardner Fairbrother.
The following is from a news clipping(Entitled) A SAD ACCIDENT
"On Tuesday morning when Otto Kannengiesser and his son, Albert of Wilson (township) were on their way to the field to sow oats, the boy suddenly made up his mind to go back home and get a gun to shoot rabbits, as he said. And while he went back Mr. Kannengiesser went on the the field and worked alone all forenoon. When he got home at noon he inqured as to the whereabout of Albert and as no one knew, a search was made and the boy was found dead in the buggy shed where he went to get the gun, with the weapon laying by his side. He had been shot thru the heart. An inquest was held and the cornoner's jury pronounced the death accidental.
"Albert was 21 years old and those who knew him best say he was an unusally good boy, being of a quiet disposition and attending strictly to his daily duties. This is a severe blow to the family who have the sympathy of many friends."
