OBITUARY - GHOLSON
Gholson, S. W., 86, died at his home, Bryant, Thursday, August 3rd, 1939 following an illness which had its inception July 8th. Funeral services were held at Moll's chapel Friday, August 4th, interment being in the Arlington Cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Gholson; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Oakland, California, Mrs. J. L. Dittemore, Redmond, Wash., and Mrs. Sadie Metcalf, Los Angeles. Mr. Gholson was born May 31, 1853 in Iowa. Coming in to the state of Washington in 1859, he settled at Walla Walla, residing there until 1907 when he moved to the Sound, having resided at Bryant since 1917.

This community lost a fine gentleman and respected citizen when S. W. Gholson passed away at his home on Thursday, August 3, after a brief illness. We express our deepest sympathy to his widow, Mrs. Maggie Gholson.
