FORMER PAWNEE RESIDENT PASSES AWAY IN CHICAGO
Mrs. M. B. Smith received a message Monday announcing the death of her aunt, Mrs. Jennie Lament, which occurred early that morning at the home of Mrs. Lament's sister, Mrs. John Taylor, in Chicago. Mrs. Lament had been spending the winter with her sister there. She was a sister of the late Mrs. G. W. Collins of this city.

Mrs. Lament was a teacher in the Pawnee City public schools for a number of years, resigning that work in the early '90s when she moved to Omaha. She is survived by two grandchildren, Jack and Ann Lament of Omaha.

The body was brought to Pawnee City Wednesday afternoon and interment was in the cemetery here, where short services were held at 4 o'clock.

Mrs. Lament's only son, Harry, died about 12 years ago. Mr. Lament died many years ago and is buried in the Pawnee City cemetery.

Mrs. Jennie Lament passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. John W. Taylor, in Chicago, Monday, April 30. Her remains were brought to Pawnee City this Wednesday afternoon, and interment was had in the Pawnee City cemetery. Mrs. Lament was a former well-known resident of this city, a teacher in the Pawnee City schools, and a sister of the late Mrs. G. W. Collins, Lew and George Agnew.
