Her early childhood was spent in Pennsylvania. She grew to womanhood in Cedar county, Iowa, where she was married, 1894,to Samuel Deitrick..
To this union, a son, Earl, was born. When Earl was just a small boy, his father passed away, leaving Mrs Deitrick to carry on with the farm and rear a son.
In 1908, she was united in marriage to Joe Deitrick, younger brother of Samuel. They remained on the farm in Iowa until 1914, when they moved to the farm near Peetz, Colorado.
Mrs Deitrick was an ardent worker in the church, a loving friend and devoted mother. She was trained as a nurse and took pride in her profession, ever ready to be of service to any in sickness or distress.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Joe and son, Earl Valentine. Surviving are a neice Mrs Grace Adams, of Quasqueton, Iowa, and 2 nephews: Wilbur House, Toole, Ut and Harry House, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 8 grand nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and a host of friends.
