Edward N. Rivers, 69, Rollingstone, died today at his home after an illness of several months.

He had been an insurance agent here since 1934.

The son of Edward and Johanna Johns Rivers, he was born at Rollingstone, Oct. 20, 1910. He was a graduate of Holy Trinity High School, Rollingstone. He married Viola Frisch in 1933. She died in 1975. He married Elizabeth Greden in 1976. She died in 1977.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rollingstone, a member and had served 16 years as president of the St. Nicholas Society; was currently president of
Holy Trinity High School Alumni Association; was a member of the Winona Council, Knights of Columbus; Winona Lodge 327, Benevolent And Protective Order of Elks, Winona, a director of the Rollingstone Mutual Fire Insurance Co., a member and had served two years as president of the Rollingstone Business Association, and was a former member of the Rollingstone Planning Commission.

Survivors are: two daughters, Mrs. Diane Fascher, Bangor, Wis., and Mrs. Gene (Mary Lynn) Dahn, Gale Ferry, Conn,; two stepsons, Dr. John Greden, Ann Arbor, Mich., and
David Greden, Rochester, Minn.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carol Ryan, Agoura, Calif.; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; four brothers, Bernard, Dayton, Ohio;
Norbert, Rochester, Minn.,; Arthur, Vandelin, Ohio, and Paul, Rollingstone, and two sisters, Mrs. John (Alvira) Wissel, Dayton, Ohio, and sister M. Johanna Rivers,
Winona. Two brothers have died.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. Frank Klein officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. A wake service will be Wednesday night at 8. St. Nicholas Society will recite the Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be his brothers, Bernard, Norbert, Arthur and Paul Rivers; Al Rivers and Arnold Kalmes.

Sellner-Hoff Funeral Home, Rollingstone, is in charge of services.
