Zula married Paul Hooe on April 17, 1959 in McAlester, OK. She attended Mowdy and Coalgate schools, graduating in 1957. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coalgate and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; daughters, Tammy Shirley and husband Jackof Coalgate, OK, Scarlett Anderson and husband Mike of Wardville, OK; son, Mat Hooe of Coalgate, OK; granddaughter, Jaclyn Shirley of Coalgate, OK and grandsons, Tyler and Sam Anderson of Wardville, OK. Also a brother, Leonard Deskin and wife Dolly of Borger, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Wesley and Zeller Deskin; granddaughter, Katelyn Marie Shirley, brothers, Leroy Deskin and Tom Deskin; and sisters, Marie Casey and Lucille Ennis. Service will be Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at 1 pm at Brown's Funeral Capel with interment at Wardville Cemetery. Pastor Lyle Shipley will officiate.
