Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Charlie D. and Ida Jamison Britt.
Mrs. Brothers was a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church, and retired from J.P. Stevens after 30 years of service.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cathy Brothers of Greenville; two grandsons, Alton Britt Brothers and wife, Pamela, of Greenville, and Christopher Lee Brothers and wife, Kimberly, of Travelers Rest; three great grandchildren, Chase and Kristin Brothers, and Summer McCarson; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Mary B. Knight of Charlotte, NC; and a brother, Bobby Britt of FL.
She was preceded in death by a son, Alton F. Brothers.
The visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel.
