Ruth E. (Carr) Robinson, 103, of New Carlisle, passed away on Friday February 24,2012, in Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle.

She was born on October 8, 1908, to the late Joseph and Van Vella (Webster) Carr in LaPorte and was a lifelong area resident.

On September 15, 1928, as Ruth E. Carr, she married Harold C. Robinson, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Carr and Noami Hock and two brothers, Webster and George Carr.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Charles) Kring; her son, Duane (Shirley) Robinson, both of New Carlisle; six grandchildren, Julie (John) Olney of New Carlisle and Joni (Scott) Citron, both of New Carlisle, Diane (Joe) Szynal of LaPorte, Mark Robinson, Rich (Kim) Robinson and Mike (Shannon) Robinson, all of New Carlisle; ten great-grandchildren, Josh and Jenee' Olney, Ryan and Connor Citron, Adam and Tyler Szynal and Hunter and Haley Robinson and Callie and Reed Robinson; and by her sister, Mary Clendenen of New Carlisle, IN.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the New Carlisle Wesleyan Church, the Homemakers Club of New Carlisle and the War Mother's of new Carlisle.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 11 am Tuesday, in the New Carlisle Wesleyan Church, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
