Mr. Carlisle died Monday, June 21, 1999 after a short illness. He was born January 11, 1925 in Spur. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spur. Active in Spur Senior Citizens Center and also traveled extensively with "The Fun Bunch" of the Lubbock area.
He married Pat Blackwell in Spur on December 14, 1991. He retired from a lifetime of farming in 1988. He was the descendent of one of Spur´s first families.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, one son, Kenny Carlisle; three daughters, Connie Linscott, Janet Ordner and Sandra Reynolds, four grandchildren, Kit and Kandi Carlisle, Kelis Linscott, Alex Reynolds. One grandson, Lance Linscott is deceased.
Pallbearers were Richard Stewart, Greg Arnold, Benny Robertson, Dub Rummfield, Kenneth Lane, and Randall Key. Honorary pallbearers were Pete Day, Wallace Day, Art Stuckey, Harold May, Mac Driggers and Elmer Wright.
