Virginia Allen Ruggles Braden, 51, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 31, 1948, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Leroy and Pheba Huffman Ruggles. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sons, James Braden and John Braden, both of Portsmouth; one daughter, Victoria Braden of portsmouth; four brothers, Bill Ruggles of Greenup, Elbert Ruggles of Grove City, David Ruggles of Nashville, Tenn., and Chester Ruggles of McDermott; five sisters, Lucy Gray of Nashville, Bernice Logan of Greenup, Geneva Patrick of York, Ky., Barbara Fisher of Garrison, Ky., and Juanita Hale of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup, with Jim Collier, preacher, officiating, and interment in Granny Thomas Cemetery in York.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
