Chuck lived in Maltby during his youth, attending Snohomish High School before joining the Navy at 17. He reached the rank of 1st. Class Seaman before being discharged. He then joined his father in Alaska processing salmon. He then became employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad, then Burlington Northern from which he retired.
He was an avid fisherman, recycler and BSer, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners. He was preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Lucille and Shirley; brother, George; and daughter, Peggy.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wilna Adams; granddaughters, Gretchen Vincent and Heidi Vargas; six great-grandchildren, Marty, Brandon, Danica, Tiffany, Sheridan and Riley whom he cherished; brothers, Victor and Bob; sister, Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered fondly for telling it like he saw it, his gift of gab, and his devotion to family. Viewing Thursday, Oct 31, 2002 at Wellers Funeral Home, Arlington, WA. Graveside Services Friday, Nov 1, 2002, 1:30pm at Darrington Cemetery.
