Royal O. Clapp, Jr., 91, of Lancaster, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the Odd Fellows Home, Worcester, after an illness. His wife of 55 years, Theresa A. (Harvey) Clapp, died on February 12, 2007.
He was predeceased by his son, Robert O. Clapp, who died on July 26, 2011. Three brothers, Wallace, Eugene & Bernard Clapp, also predeceased him.
Born in Bristol, CT, the son of Royal O. and Margaret (Bruce) Clapp, Sr., he was raised there and in New Hampshire. He attended local schools, and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. In 1962, he, along with his family, settled in Lancaster.
For 17 years, Royal worked as a Machinist at General Wire Products, Inc., Worcester, retiring in 1983.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Burial in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster.
