MR. L. L. DAVIDSON CELEBRATES 83RD BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY
Sunday, November 29, 1942, marked the 83rd milestone in the journey of life for Mr. Lewis Lawshe Davidson and in celebration of his grand occasion five of his nine children and his only sister, Mrs. "Lovie" Coates of Bastrop, were his dinner guests.

L. L. DAVIDSONS CELEBRATE 55TH WEDDING YEAR
Five years ago, Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Lawshe Davidson observed their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. Their children and grandchildren were present. Open House was held and best wishes and numerous gifts were showered on the happy couple.

Sunday was their 55th Anniversary but traveling conditions made it impossible for the children to come home. At the Methodist Church, Sunday morning, Rev. Ward made the happy announcement and the congregation joined him in wishing them many more happy years. Following the services they were dinner guests of their son, E. T. Davidson and Mrs. Davidson.

L. L. DAVIDSON FUNERAL RITES HELD SUNDAY
Long Time Parish Resident Died Friday After Illness; Burial in Mer Rouge
Lewis Lawshe Davidson, 90, resident of Morehouse Parish for 62 years, died at his home in Mer Rouge Friday afternoon after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 pm at the First Methodist Church in Mer Rouge with the Rev. D.T. Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Mer Rouge Cemetery.

Mr. Davidson was born in Water Valley, Mississippi, in 1859. He came to Morehouse Parish in 1887 and married Lelia Turpin in 1890. He was a charter member of the First Methodist Church in Mer Rouge and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Davidson, who was a planter all his life, was a graduate of the University of Mississippi.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his nine children:

Mrs. R. L. Carr of Baton Rouge

Mr. T. L. Davidson of Long Beach, California

Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren
