THOMASVILLE | Helen Frances Holder Thomas, 83, of Wagstaff Street, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Thomasville Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Midway School Road Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Robert Walker. Burial will be in Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will remain at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Davidson County on Sept. 14, 1923, to Harvey Lee Holder and Etta Mae Davis Holder and was a lifelong resident of Davidson County. She was last employed with Liberty House Nursing Home. On July 10, 1972, she married Robert Henry Thomas. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Floyd Holder, Percy Holder, Tom Holder, Charlie Holder, Paul Holder and Harvey Holder Jr., and three sisters, Elma Warren, Nora Barton and Ruth Godfrey.
Surviving are her husband of the home; two sons, Tommy Shuler and his wife, Susan, of High Rock Lake and Darrell Shuler and his wife, Pat, of Thomasville; six grandchildren, Mitchell Shuler, Debra Cook, Susan Sparks, David Shuler, Greg Shuler and Derrick Shuler; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Bynum Holder and his wife, Irene, of McLeansville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight and other times at the residence.
