WILSON. Ollie Eugene "Gene", 89, a resident of Prattville, AL died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at his home. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 3 p.m. from Prattville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Smith and Rev. Wayne Rouse officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

Gene was the founder and owner of Wilson Flooring until 1989 when he retired. He served his church, Hunting Ridge Church of God, for many years as a member of the Pastors Council.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Alice Wilson; son, Ricky Wilson; sister, Myrtle Day. He is survived by his wife, Juantia Wilson; 3 sons, Gerald Wilson, Tommy Wilson, and Donald Wilson; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchilden who knew him as granddaddy. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at Prattville Memorial Chapel from 1:30 until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Alacare Hospice.
