Ordelia (Jackie) Sanders Wahrhausen
Jackie Wahrhausen, 84, of Hannibal, went to be with Jesus Wed., Feb. 22, 2012, at 10:20 a.m. at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Sat., Feb. 25, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, Rev. Bob Bixler, officiating. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Sat. at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Patricia L. Rizzuto of Bonita Springs, Fl. and a special friend and neighbor, Breda Brady, of Hialeah, Fl., who cares for Jackie's special cat Tina. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Adam H. Sanders, William B. Sanders, John M. Sanders, James R. Sanders and Louis E. Sanders; four sisters, Susan A. Sanders, Jennie M. Schmitt, Mae Keesee and Mary A. Bull and two half sisters Lena Spradlin and Lucille McCarty. Jackie was born April 23, 1927, at Commerce, Mo., the daughter of Henry Sanders and Hulda Sander Sanders Hilleman.
She married Edwin J. Wahrhausen on June 7, 1947, in St. Louis. He preceded Jackie in death on Dec. 27, 2002. Jackie grew up on a farm near Commerce, Mo. After marrying Ed they moved to Hialeah, Fl. She assisted him in their office machine business. Jackie was very talented, painted many exceptional paintings and sewed beautiful clothes. She had a very generous heart, loved her family, was kind to everyone and enjoyed cats.
Memorials may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Terry K. Hayes, Wayne Neagles, George Scott, Kenny Littrell and Carey Toalson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Terry R. Hayes.
