Emma Krahn was born in Drensen, Germany, Feb. 8, 1870, and in 1884, when fourteen years of age, came with a sister and brother to Ripon, the parents coming sometime later. On June 8, 1895, she was married to Mr. Chas. H. Allinson also of this city. Three children came to their home, two daughters and one son, Mildred, Ruth and Claude, all at home, the two latter in school, Mildred having graduated from the high school last June.
On Thanksgiving Day while about her household duties, Mrs. Allinson suffered a slight paralytic stroke, the second one she had experienced, but recovered sufficiently to attend to her housework. Saturday, Dec. 23, she had another attack from which she did not rally, passing away in a week.
For many years she was a faithful and active member of the German M. E. church and the Ladies' Aid Society thereof. Besides her husband and children she leaves her aged father, stepmother, a brother, three sisters and many other relatives. A large circle of friends extend their sympathy to the stricken family. The funeral was held at the church Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 2, 1917, Rev. W. G. Schmidt conducting the service. Interment was at Hillside cemetery.
