Harry A. Bolton, 79, of Oregon, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. Harry was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 25, 1932, to Robert and Rose (Twining) Bolton. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart. Harry was employed with Doehler Jarvis as a machine operator for 35 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Northwood VFW Post #2984. Harry was a former member of the Northwood Volunteer Fire Department where he retired as chief. He is survived by his children, Lisa Karcher and Robert Bolton; grandchildren, Joshua Karcher, Alex, and Dustin Bolton, and sister, June Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Stewart. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert and Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Friday from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
