Ruth "Maxine" Rinehart Lucus, 75, died at 12:10 PM Sunday, Oct. 31, 1993, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, following a brief illness. Born March 23, 1918, at Clarks Hill, she was a graduate of Romney High School. She was married to George L. Lucus on June 21, 1939, at Ambia, and he survives.

Mrs. Lucus was a former employee of Purdue University, Spiegel's Catalog Store, Holden's Red Stamp Store. She was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church, Fort Ouiatenon Chapter of American Business Women's Association, a member and past president of Eagles Women's Auxiliary 347, and a charter member of Eagles REACT organization.

Surviving with her husband are a son, George E. Lucus of Worthington, OH; a daughter, Nancy Jo Matricia of New Richmond; four brothers, William Rinehart of Plant City, FL, Joseph Rinehart of Lafayette, PA, Parker Rinehart of Tucson, AZ, and Ora Lee Rinehart of Greencastle; one sister, Alma Miller of Lebanon; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers.
