Epworth, Ia. - April 7. A pioneer resident of Epworth died Sunday when Mrs. Frank Anderson passed away at the home of her nephew and niece Emma Clark at Julien. A heart attack was responsible for her demise. Deceased was born at East Dubuque on April 9, 1860. Her marriage to Franklin Anderson occurred on November 22, 1886. They moved to Epworth where they resided. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church and the Berean class, the Ladies Society and the Women’s Foreign Missionary Society and also a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Epworth.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Evans of Birmingham, Alabama, two sons: Benton of Clinton, Iowa and Wendall of Clarksville; one sister, Mrs. Harriett Bennett of Waterloo and her grandchildren. The body was removed from the Haudenshield Funeral Home Tuesday noon to the M. E. Church here and lay in state until 2 o’clock services were conducted by Rev. Warton. Burial was at Highview. A quartette sang several church hymns. The personal of the quartet was; Mr. A. A. Hallett, Mr. Glenn Scott, Mrs. Jennie Whitsell and Mrs. Lillie Maxwell.

Pallbearers were H. H. Reeder, Ed Hogan, Wayne Silker, Russell Scott, Beecher Anderson and Carl Maxwell.
