Frank E. Schneff, 54, of 1615 Twenty-eighth street, Rock Island, died suddenly Wednesday noon in his home. He had been ill with a heart condition the last three years.
The body has been taken to the Hadgson funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. H. F. C. Wetzel, officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery.
A personal claim adjuster for the Rock Island Lines, Mr. Schneff was born in Elgin, Ill., Nov. 22, 1899, the son of Adolph and Marie Schneff, and attended Elgin school. He married Dorothalene Litzenberger in Dubuque Sept. 24, 1937, and the couple resided in Rock Island the last 12 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Rock Island.
Surviving in addition to the widow are a son, Roger E., at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mina Rath and Mrs. Frank Parren, both of Elgin, and five brothers, Henry W. Schneff, Davenport, and Albert, William A., Adolph and Fred Schneff, all of Elgin. His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
