A former mayor of Glendale and long-time city councilman. George R. Wickham, died Thursday of a heart ailment. He was 73.Wickham, first elected in city council in 1948, served as mayor from 1949 to 1951. He served in the California State Assembly from 1919 to 1920.He leaves his widow, Lena; a son, George Wickham Jr. of Glendate; two daughters, Miss Margaret Wickham of Placerville, Mrs. Mildred Walker of Ventura and a sister, Mrs. Laura Sinclair of Claremont, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
