Mary Belle Trapp was the last and eleventh child born to William R. Trapp (1819-1879) and Mary Ann Garner (1821-1898). She married James H. Tisdale (1862-1910) on October 2, 1881 in Savannah, Andrew County, Missouri. James was the son of James W. Tisdale (1821-1881) and Nancy Smith (born about 1831). Mary and James had two children Lana [Tisdale] Shearer (1884-1947) and Ula Glenn Tisdale (1887-1960).
Mary's siblings were: Nancy Jane [Trapp] Walker (1839-1861), Charles Franklin Trapp (1841-1926), John Lewis Trapp (1844-1919), Albert Clark Trapp (1846-1928), Martin Billing Allen Trapp (1848-1929), Prince Lucius Trapp (1851-1925), Martha Ann Mahale [Trapp] Brown (1854-1901), Sarah Adaline [Trapp] Vinsonhaler (1856-1875), William Edwin Trapp (1858-1926), Ulysses Grant Trapp (1863-1887).
