Edward Percy Sanderson, born at Thomaston, Knox Co., Maine on July 9, 1858. He married Estelle Ballard in Farmington, Franklin Co., Maine, on July 27, 1881.
He migrated to Wisconsin and first worked as a Steward on a packet steamer from St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin down the St. Croix River to Prescott, up the Mississippi to St. Paul, Minnesota. Later he taught school in Wisconsin. He served as a Methodist Minister for many years. His Charges served in the West Wisconsin Conference were: Rice Lake, Sept, 1890 to Sept. 1891; Unity & Spencer, Sept. 1891 to 1893; Rib Lake, Westboro & Chelsea, Sept. 1893 to Sept. 1894; Sechlerville, Sept. 1894 to Sept. 1897; Louisville, Sept. 1897 to Sept. 1899; Eleva, Sept. 1899 to Sept. 1901; Arcadia, Sept. 1901 to Sept. 1903; Ellsworth, Sept. 1903 to Sept. 1904. He retired to operate a Photo Studio in River Falls, Wisconsin, from 1904 to 1922. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1922, and died in Glendale, California, Los Angeles County,on February 1, 1940.
It is reported that he had a date with Lillian Nordica (Lillian Russell).
