A rosary will be said at 7 PM today in Brooks Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev George Kalampatt CMI as celebrant and Bill Dorsey deacon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Adalla was born January 1,1916 in Primrose, Nebraska to John G. And Mary Knust Batenhorst. She married Vincent Friemel on September 20, 1938 in Umbarger.
She was a homemaker and a loving "Auntie" to her numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of St Mary's Altar Society and Christian Mothers and sang in St Mary's choir for more than 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent; her parents; three brothers Raymond, Leonard and Sylvester Batenhorst; and a sister Marie Vorwald.
Survivors include three sisters Marcella Brandt of Canyon, Elfrieda Reinart of Hereford and LaVerna Henscheid of Marshfield, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
