Cheryl L. Knapp, 64, passed away February 21, 2012 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born on December 21, 1947 in Springfield, MA to the late Norval and Jewel (Jackson) Knapp, she had worked for many years at Bartels Pool. Cheryl enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzle books and most of all her Dunkin Donuts coffee. Predeceased by her parents, she leaves her sister, Candice Morton and her husband, David of Ludlow, MA; brothers, Paul Knapp of Andover, MA and Matthew Knapp and his wife, Diane of Redondo Beach, CA; nephew, Mario Morton; nieces, Nicole Szarkowski and Elizabeth Knapp; great nieces and nephews: Alexander, Cameron, Emma and Taylor; and her dear friend, Henry Flagg of Chicopee, MA. The family extends their thanks to the caregivers at Life Care Center, especially Lisa Persson and Fran Nepus. Her funeral will be on Friday, February 24, 2012 beginning at 10:15 AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Life Care Center of Wilbraham.
