Junior Frakes was a son of Alexander Frakes, Sr., who lived near Chula, MO. He was married Apr 4, 1946, to Minnie Monzelle Farr, daughter of Lester and Minnie Farr, who lived in Chillicothe, MO, at the times of their deaths. Monzelle was born March 2, 1927, in Avalon, MO. They were the parents of James Ray Frakes born Oct 11, 1950, d. Oct 14, 1950, and Patricia Louise Frakes, b. Jan. 16, 1954, married Phillip Green, and had a daughter, Tabitha Monzelle Green. Junior was a heavy equipment operator, stockraiser, and once owned a junkyard in Chillicothe, MO. He was very kind to his neices and nephews and all of us loved him. He drowned tragically while our fishing from a boat from a heart attack while fishing with a friend. At that time he lived about halfway between Chillicothe and Carrollton, MO. He was a tailgunner on a plane during WWII. He loved people and had many friends, and led an interesting, though short, life.

Drowns In the Grand River Alexander Frakes, Jr.,44, was Fishing and Boat Capsized. Alexander Frakes, jr., 44, fishin from a motor boat which capsized, drowned at 6:30 last night in the Grand River, three miles east of Bosworth.
Funeral arrangements, under direction of the Norman Funeral Home, are incomplete and will be announced tomorrow.
The son of Alexander Frakes and Clara Belle (Sherrow) Frakes, he was born Feb. 3, 1923, at Chula where he attended school. He was
a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Frakes spent his lifetime in Livingston and Carroll counties with the exception of three year while he served with the Air Force during World War II. On April 3, 1946, he married Minnie Monzelle Farr in Chillicothe. She and a daughter, Patricia Louise Frakes, survive of the home in the Stokes Mound community.Other survivors include two brothers, Robert Frakes of Independence and Melvin Frakes of Chula; and three sisters, Mrs. Kay Inez Willers and Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Williams of Independence and Mrs. Jim (Margie) Roesing of Blue Springs. Mr. Frakes was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Ray Frakes, a brother, Dale Allen Frakes, and a sister, Mary Louise Frakes.
