Mildred Duty Hilburn, age 67, a lifetime resident of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 18, 1984 at her home. She was born April 23, 1917 in Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of Charlie and Alice Bottoms Duty.


Mildred was married to Harry "Pop" Hilburn on January 4, 1935. She served as deputy clerk with "Pop" in Lawrence County for many years. She also was a social worker in the Walnut Ridge School System. Mildred was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Walnut Ridge.


Survivors include one daughter: Alice Stovall, three sons: Dick Hilburn, Judge Tom L. Hilburn, Sam Hilburn, one brother: Lawrence Duty; fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Pop" Hilburn.


Services are planned for December 20, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Interment is Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
