Pursuit of Bragg to Crab Orchard, October 1 to 15, 1862, and in the first battle of Perryville, October 8, 1862. March to Nashville, Tenn. Oct. 16 to Nov. 9, 1862. Duty at South Tunnel, Pilot Knob and Gallatin, Tenn, Nov. 8 to 26 and guarding the fords of the Cumberland until Jan 29, 1863. Died, Dec. 16, 1862 at Gallatin, Tenn of disease dysentery and intestinal disorder caused by improper army food. His burial place is unknown to me at this time.
