"James Lee "Jimmy" Boatwright, born February 3, 1935, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the age of 78.

Jimmy was an active lifetime member of Oak Island United Methodist Church who enjoyed singing in the choir and other activities at the church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and running buddies. He was a member of the IBEW Local #60.

His wife Gladys Boatwright and daughter Linda Lee Hall preceded him in death.

Survivors include daughter Vicki Chumbley, grandchildren: Kelly Chumbley and fiancee Jacob Lopez, Curtis and Gricel Chumbley, Scott and Shanna Wright, Sara and Weylin Weyel and Jonathan Wright, great grandchildren: Jayden, Khloe, Jackson, Cody, Sophie, Layla, Tyler, Cash, Zoe, Ross, Hailee and Westley, sister Barbara Ann Burger.

Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2013 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Oak Island United Methodist Church, 2970 DeVilbiss Ln, San Antonio, Texas 78264. Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Island United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Oak Island Cemetery."
