Grace Matson Backman passed away January 29, 2006 at Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem.

Grace was born November 27, 1905 in Diamond Fork, UT. She attended Provo High School. In 1946, she married Everett Backman. She was preceded in death by Everett and her daughter, Dorothy Cobbley. She is survived by her daughters, Helen McDowell and Margaret Lofstrom, and her 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

Loved by her large family and many friends, Grace was known in her Provo neighborhood as the "Cookie Lady" because she would give cookies to all the neighborhood children.
