Lois Anna Jackson, 61, a long time resident of Kettle Falls, Washington, passed away at her home, February 21, 2012. She was born on June 11, 1950, the daughter of Gaylord and Edith (Hatfield) Wandling.
Lois was born in Twisp, WA and attended school in Winthrop, WA. In 1966, she moved with her family to Chewelah. There she graduated from Jenkins High School in 1968. A year later she married Asa Jackson and together they raised their three daughters.
She had a great passion for genealogy and spent many hours tracing family history and making many interesting discoveries about the past. She also spent time volunteering at the History Center helping other people make family connections. If Lois ever had any spare time she would fill it with sewing, knitting, and crocheting. There was never a dull moment when she was around. Lois always had an abundance of love for her grandchildren, spoiling them every chance she got.
She was involved with the Independent Order of Foresters, Stevens and Ferry County Search and Rescue and the Genealogy Association.
Lois is survived by her husband, Asa Jackson; three daughters, Diana McNeil Gemmrig of Spokane, WA, Leslie McGraw of Kettle Falls, WA, Bonnie Jackson of Deer Park, WA; one sister, Viola Garrison; one brother, Clarence Wandling; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Brandon McNeil, Steven, Timothy and Miles McGraw, Amanda and Amber Bradeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gaylord and Edith (Hatfield) Wandling
