OAK ISLAND, NC ~ Mrs. Ruby Erline Love Vaden, 85, of Augusta Drive in Oak Island passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Ocean Trail Nursing Center of Southport. She was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Surry County to Lawrence Lee and Celia Owens Love. She was a homemaker and of the Primitive Baptist faith. Mrs. Vaden is survived by a son, Timothy H. Vaden of Oak Island. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeoffrey H. Vaden; a brother, Edsel Love; and two sisters, Opal Smith and Dorothy Love. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 6, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mitchell Pruitt officiating. Interment will be at Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of Mickey and Bess Jane Love. The family requests floral tributes, or memorials may be made to Indian Grove Family Cemetery, 488 Indian Grove Church Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030. The Vaden family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain.
