"Funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McGinnis & Wilhelm Mortuary for Mrs. Arthur (Norma) Chenoweth, with vault entombment at Portland Memorial. She died at Emanual Hospital Friday after a long illness.
Born in Ohio October 22, 1898, she moved to the Portland area in 1906. Her home was at 7404 S.E. 17th Avenue. Until her illness she was an employee in the Montgomery Ward jewelry repair department.
She was a member of the postal supervisors women's auxiliary, and toastmistress. She had been president of Llewellyn grade school PTA, A 4-H club leader for many years, she was at one time president of the Portland 4-H leaders organization and taught several years at 4-H summer school at Oregon State College.
Survivors, besides her widower, include two sons, Arthur C. and Dr. Bruce Chenoweth; her father, Albert A. Reck; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Gilmore and Mrs. Fairy Kitzmiller, and five grandchildren, all of Portland."
