Norma Lee Langston Moore was born on the 18th of February, 1933 in a small community named Hand, in Baxter County, Arkansas. Hand is no longer there, as the citizens built a dam which caused the water to cover the Hand community area. Even the Hand cemetery was moved. Norma was the third of four known children born to Hoyd H and Audrey Ellen Rand Langston. Norma met and married on the 23rd of July in 1949 in Winfield, Missouri, Joseph Moore. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army.
