Charles Jacky Hodge
(November 19, 1943 - February 20, 2012)

Charles Jacky Hodge, 68, of Ellisville, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Forrest General in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, February 23 at Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Phil Smith and Rev. Jacob Windham will officiate. The body will be placed in the church at 9 am Thursday.
Mr. Hodge was a salesman with Laurel Rubber & Gasket and a member of Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church.
He loved and adored his family and grandchildren, and never missed any of their events. His hobbies were fishing and he was also a gospel singer with a beautiful bass voice. He was active at his church, and was a fixture at baseball and football fields when his grandchildren played. This loving father and husband will be sorely missed by his family, co-workers, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Elisha and Vassie Gordon Hodge; sister, Eugenia Maxwell; and brothers, Cecil, Thomas, and Butler "Bo" Hodge.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Ann Windham Hodge of Ellisville; two sons, Tray Hodge of Hill Top Lakes, TX and Christopher Ford and wife Rebecca of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters, Tama Dickerson and husband Scott of Marquez, TX and Amanda Ford Ellis and husband John of Ellisville; grandchildren, Casey Hodge, Cole Ellis, Connor Ellis, and Carson Ellis all of Laurel; C. J. Ford and Holly Ford of Baton Rouge; Brewer Dickerson of Marquez, TX; sister, Frances Alpin and husband Ed of Ellisville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Smith, Gordon Alpin, Casey Hodge, Cole Ellis, Mike Hodge, Jeff Alpin, Gary Joyner and Mark Alpin. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Maxwell and the men of Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church Choir.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday, February 22 at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
