Easton Scovill, age 79, passed away Feb.10, 2012. Easton was born March 27, 1932 in Orangeville to Amasa and Dora Marie Jensen Scovill. He married Molly Powell on Sept. 7, 1955 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were together for 56 wonderful years.

Easton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many capacities including Stake Missionary, High Priest Group Leader, and as a Temple Worker. He loved temple work and serving Heavenly Father. Easton loved to joke and tease people. If you were the recipient of his teasing you knew that he loved you. Family was the most important part of his life, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved helping others and was always putting other's needs before his own. Easton was a coal miner for nine years, yet his main occupation through his working years was a cement contractor. He will be remembered as an honest, hardworking, and caring, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Molly; children: Sandra (Kay) Jensen of Castle Dale, Michael (Lisa) Scovill of Orangeville, and Steven (Michelle) Scovill of Castle Dale; siblings: Josephine Hansen of California, Judy Specht of Arizona, LaDue (Roanna) Scovill of Santaquin, Neal (Diana) Scovill of Huntington, Dorine (Therron) Gardner of Wisconsin, and Geraldine (Leo) Wright of Orangeville; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amasa and Dora Marie Scovill, and a daughter, Dixie Lynn Scovill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb.15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Ferron LDS Stake Center (555 S. 400 West, Ferron).
