He was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Chicago to Martin and Elsa Erlandson. He served his country in World War II, in the US Army.
He married the love of his life, Elenore Johnson, on June 19, 1943. They raised three daughters in Lombard, Ill.
He worked as traffic manager for Jewel Food Stores for over 25 years. In 1978 he and Elenore moved to Fairhope, where they enjoyed 24 years of retirement.
He was a true family man, who will be missed by all who knew him
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2002; his son-in-law, Brian Blake in 2003; and his son-in-law, Abdalla Dessouki in 2004.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Carol (Ron) Hock, Elaine Dessouki and Sharon Blake; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons; and his beloved dog, Cowboy.
Private graveside services have been held.
