Otis Eugene Engler, 69, died at the LaJunta Mennonite hospital last night after a short illness. Mr. Engler lived on a ranch south west of LaJunta.
He was born Oct. 8, 1880, near Red Cloud, Neb. He was married June 21, 1903 in Grant, Neb.
Mr. and Mrs. Engler moved to Bloom in 1917 and lived there until 1938 when they moved to the ranch near here.
Mr. Engler is survived by his wife and two sons, Ernie Engler of Raton, N.M., and Edward Engler of LaJunta. He also leaves 7 Grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Christian Church here and of the Holbrook Lake Sportmen's Club.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the first Christian Church with the Rev.K.T.Trout, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
