The marriage of Miss Hazel L. Sabin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sabin of Cheboygan, to John G. Herrema of this city took place at the home of the bride's parents, 317 Dresser St., Cheboygan, June 19. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D.L. Owens, pastor of the Baptist Church. The rooms were attractively decorated and the bridal party stood under a floral arch from which was suspended a wedding bell made of snowballs. Carl Johns played Mendelssohn's wedding march as the bridal party entered the parlor. The bride wore a light tan traveling suit. She carried a bouquet of brides roses. Miss Merie Sabin, her sister, was the bridesmaid. She was gowned in tan messaline and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. The groom was attended by his brother, Simon C. Herrema of Grand Rapids. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served to relatives and the intimate friends of the bride and groom. Miss Nellie Herrema of Grand Rapids was a guest. The bride is a graduate of the county normal class of 1908 and has taught in the county schools four years. Mr. and Mrs. Herrema will reside in this city and will be at home to their friends at 316 Grattan Ave. after July 1.
