Obituary
John T. Ledinski was born December 29, 1894, in Springville, N. Y. Died April 23, 1926, at 8 o'clock A. M.., in Jones, Oklahoma; aged 31 years, 3 months, and 24 days. He had lived in or near Jones for ten years, and was well known by the I people of this community. He is survived by his parents, who are living in Chicago, Ill., and by four brothers and four sisters. The brothers are: Felix, Louie, and Pete, of Jones, Oklahoma, and Wallace, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The four sisters are Mrs. Anna Johnson, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Julia Johnson, Duncan, Arizona, Mrs. Elizabeth Gleason, Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Ella Dunham, of Jones. The dead are Gus who died in October, 1910, and Edward who died in September, 1915. He has been in the home of his brother Felix, for the past four months, and has been given every attention that loving hearts could bestow. Especial {special} mention should be made of his two younger brothers, Louie and Pete, who have stayed by him constantly, and his young nieces and nephew, Vada, Lola, Elsie, Ora, and Joe, who never failed him in their loving ministries. Johnnie, as he was familiarly known, was of a quiet, retiring disposition, but he made many friends by his gentle, kindly manners. He had been a sufferer for almost twenty years from rheumatism, but in spite of being a cripple, never gave up working until fifteen months ago. Since this time he has been almost entirely helpless, but has been a patient, uncomplaining sufferer, and an inspiration to those who have watched his courageous fight for life. He took a great delight in plowing with the tractor, and many an able bodied man would have been proud to have turned as straight a furrow. He talked often during his illness, of wanting to get able to plow again. Johnnie's poor body was racked and twisted by the pain he had borne so patiently, but he lived his life as straight as his beloved furrows, and his death is a loss to our community.
