Doris Gene Asbery was born May 27, 1928 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Isaac and Martha (Baxter) Asbery. He passed from this life June 21, 2002. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Loveta Duke August 10, 1979. Mr. Asbery was employed by the Oklahoma School Board for over 25 years. He worked with handicapped children. He also worked for OU Transportation Department for several years. Mr. Asbery was a member of the Capitol Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, seven children, seven stepchildren, one twin brother, Doyle Asbery of Del City, Oklahoma, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services will begin at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 25th, 2002, at Capitol Hill Baptist Church under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. RESTHAVEN FUNERAL HOME S.W. 104TH AT WALKER 691-1661
