Visitation will begin tomorrow, Wednesday March 11, 2009, at 9 a.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapels and the funeral service will follow there at 10 a.m. Interment will follow privately at Mountain View Cemetery. Rev. Joe Byers, Pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate.
Shelly was born June 10, 1939, in Ono, Ky., to Ovel and Flora Harris. She attended Business College and was employed in restaurant management in the food industry. She moved to Deming in 1999, from Kentucky and married "Bud" Fannin on Feb. 14, 1999, in Deming. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, "Bud" Fannin of the home; three sons, Phillip Asman and wife, Esther, Russell Asman and wife, Loretta, of Stockton, Calif. and Peter Asman and wife, Paula, of Russell Springs, Ky.; brother, Peter Harris, of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cancer Support of Luna County Inc., P. O. Box 1746, Deming, New Mexico 88031.
