Billie Haul Samples

Funeral services were held Sept. 4 for Billie Haul Samples, 29, who died suddenly on August 31 in an Ohio hospital (General Hospital, Mansfield, Ohio) following a stroke.

The Rev. M. O. Collins conducted services from the Heaston Methodist church and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Samples was born January 23, 1923, at Alexander, the son of James and Effie Belle Buchanan Samples. He had been employed in the shipping department of the Ohio Brass Company, in Mansfield, Ohio for the past five years. Surviving are his wife, Ella ( Dolly ) Fisher Samples, five brothers, Marion, of Arlington, Bryan of Alexander, Jay of Alton, Garnet of South Heights, Pa., and Eli with the Army at Fort Knox, Ky,; five sisters, Mrs. Oscar Channel and Mrs. Arthur Coe both of Alexander, Mrs. George Dupont, of Patuxent, Md. Mrs Elmer Harman, of Loudonville, Ohio and Mrs. Ernest Miller of Ashland, Ohio.
