Mrs. William G. (Ruel) Croy, 97, of Dardanelle died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, at Dardanelle Nursing Center.
She was born July 6 1899, at Wewoka, Okla., to Mrs. and Mrs. J.T. Pennington, she was a member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Grady Croy, and a sister, Ethel Hume.
Survivors include two sons, William Glenn Croy of Mesa, Ariz., and Earl Linzy Croy of Wake Village, Texas; a daughter, Modean Thaxton of Dardanelle; a brother, Austin Pennington of Dardanelle; 10 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 11, at New Hope Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Rigdon. Burial will be by Cornwell Funeral Service.
