Anna was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover, N.C., and was a homemaker. Her hobbies included reading, knitting and cooking but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Coyte Alexander Wike; brothers, Garland Trantham, Lester Trantham and Carroll Trantham; sisters, Ocie Swanger and Ollie Shuler.
Survivors include her daughter, Libby Wike Witherspoon and husband, Jim of Claremont, N.C.; sons, Steven Wike and wife, Kim of Catawba, N.C., Judson Wike and wife, Patty of Catawba, N.C., and Cliff Wike and wife, Debbie of Conover, N.C.; sister, Jean Morgan of Franklin, N.C.; grandchildren, Lindsay Ferro and husband, Scott, Dillon Wike and wife, Ashley, Audrey Wike, Sarah Loyola and husband, Daniel, Spencer Wike and wife, Jamie, Kelly Wasko and husband Carl, and Meredith Geier; and eight great-grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover, N.C. The Rev. Dr. Ed Yount will officiate and the burial will follow at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Claremont, N.C. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Spencer Wike, Dillon Wike, Scott Ferro, Daniel Loyola, Carl Wasko and Tim Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 440 7th St. Pl. SW, Conover, NC, 28613 or to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
