Dear Mr. Bolton:
After reading Architechure and Destruction by Mr. Thomas Young "T Y" Harp in the February 9, 1971 Daily Enterprise concerning the HARP - WEISS - MONTGOMERY family connections, I would like to add a few facts to establish earlier ancestry of some of these families mentions.

Americus Missouri Harp, Mr. Thomas Young "T Y" Harp's aunt, married first Warren Alexander Montgomery, a son of John Montgomery. I have a handsome picture of Mrs. Americus Missouri Harp Montgomery, and I have been told by later members of the family that Mrs. Weiss was a delightful lady and noted for her good conversation abilities.

This John Montgomery, mentioned above, settled in 1839 at which is now Beekman in the 2nd Ward of Morehouse Parish. I have a copy of his will dated January 11, 1844 in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. John Montgomery was listed in the 1840 Census of Ouachita Parish and was deceased by March, 1844 when Morehouse was made from Ouachita Parish. John Montgomery was the father of six sons named in his will.
He married first in 1815 in Amite County, Mississippi, Susan Gibson, by her he had:
1. James M. Montgomery
2. William J. Montgomery
3. John Thomas Montgomery
He married his 2nd wife , Mrs. Sarah Gibson Mathews, he had the following children
4. Wayne Montgomery
5. Zachriah Taylor Montgomery
6. Warren Alexander Montgomery

John Thomas Montgomery (#2 above) married Martha Caroline Johnston, a daughter of
Chesley Johnston. Chesley Johnston settled in 2nd Ward of Morehouse Parish in Beekman in 1844. Chesley Johnston married Sarah Caroline Russell in 1829 in Perry County, Alabama.
